Educator, Consultant, Presenter, Writer, and Instructional Designer 

(BIO)

I am a graduate of UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Writing and a Minor in African American History.  I obtained Master degrees from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in English & African-American Literature and in English Education, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. I also hold a M.ED in Educational Leadership from High Tech High Graduate School in San Diego, CA. Additionally, I hold a postgraduate license in English and have over 15 years of experience in the field of education. In addition to teaching English in NC and VA for 11 years, I also spent several years teaching African American Culture in VA. I created content for the African American History course that was developed through the Virginia Department of Education as well as other history courses through the VDOE. I currently hold the position of Supervisor of Equity & Culture in Virginia.
